Description
This wine is the result of many years of preparation by the Hernyák family, who are major advocates of the potential of Etyek’s sparkling wines. Historically, the region has been home to the country’s largest and most important sparkling wine producers. The family sees the region’s terroir as ideal for high quality sparkling wine. Tomi Hernyák is the winery’s second generation, taking over from his dad, László. After working for several vintages in the Champagne region of France, Tomi began producing sparkling wines in his family estate, with a long-term plan to primarily produce sparkling wine there within the next decade. This wine is a classic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Blanc. It spent 36 months on the lees. Even though the label says “Extra Dry”, this wine has the flavor profile of a Brut style. It has crisp acidity, with just enough acidity to balance it out, but keeping it dry. This is a must-try for any sparkling wine lover.
