Wine Club Membership
How does the Taste Hungary Wine Club work? What do I get as a member of the club?
As a member you’ll get a curated collection of three wines shipped to you every month. Each shipment comes with our educational packet, which includes tasting notes, information about the regions, a recipe, and other information to help you learn about the wines, varietals, and regions.
We hope the wine inspires you to travel to Hungary to taste it (and other wines) from the source! Current club members will receive a 20 percent discount on all of our tours and wine tastings in Hungary.
There are no membership fees, and no commitment. You only pay the recurring subscription fee for the monthly wine shipments.
How do you choose the wine in each shipment?
Our team of sommeliers and wine professionals in Budapest choose the wines. We’ve been active in wine for more than a decade in Hungary. We spend lots of time researching and, organizing tours, running tastings, and selling wine at The Tasting Table Budapest. During this time we’ve met with so many small wine producers who sell affordable, unique, and high-quality wines, and we will continue to do so!
Are there membership fees? What’s the commitment?
There are no membership fees, and no commitment. When you sign up for a membership we will continue to send you a box of three wines every month until you cancel your membership. Your credit card will be automatically charged monthly. You can cancel at any time before the next charge to discontinue your membership.

How (and when) are credit cards processed for Wine Club subscriptions?
Purchasing through our site is done safely and securely using Stripe.
When you subscribe, you will be asked to enter your credit card details, but you will only be charged on the 27th of the month. From then, you will be charged on the 27th of every month (until you choose to cancel your subscription).
By clicking the “I have read and agree” button on the bottom of the order form, you give Tasting Table Kft. the right to automatically charge the credit card number you provided on a monthly basis.
When are wine club orders shipped out?
Wine Club orders are shipped between the 1st and the 5th of every month.
How do I cancel my membership?
You can cancel your membership anytime by logging into your account page. Or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
How can I check on or update my Wine Club account details?
You can login to your account here at anytime to check on your subscription status, update your contact details, or update your billing information.
I’ve booked a trip to Hungary. How can I get my club discount to book a wine tasting or tour?
You’ll receive the 20 percent discount as long as you are an active club member. Please browse our tours, and drop us an email at email@example.com about the booking. We’ll be happy to assist you in booking the tour with the discount applied!
General Purchasing Questions
What payment methods do you accept?
Our online shop accepts major credit cards. If you’d rather pay by bank transfer, please contact us. Purchasing through our site is done safely and securely using Stripe.
Do prices include VAT?
Yes, all prices listed include VAT (which is 27% on wine in Hungary).
How will the charge appear on my credit card statement?
You will be charged through Tasting Table Budapest Kft. On your credit card the charge will be from "Taste Hungary."
Sale of Alcoholic Beverages
We do not sell alcoholic beverages to those under the age of 18. By using this site you affirm that you are over the age of 18 and that any alcohol you purchase from this site is intended for personal consumption and not for resale. If you intentionally or unintentionally misrepresent your age in order to provide alcohol to a person under the age of 18, We reserve the right to initiate legal action against you as well as contact law enforcement officials regarding any illegal actions.
Wine Shipping and Delivery
What countries do you ship to, and how much does shipping cost?
We mainly ship through DPD using ground service.
What if I don't live in one of those countries?
Please get in touch and we'll try to find a solution!
How long does delivery take?
Shipment usually takes 4 to 6 working days, depending on the country.
Do you offer pick-up options?
Yes, we are happy to hold your wine for pick-up at The Tasting Table (Bródy Sándor utca 9, Budapest 1088). See our shipping costs here.
I visited the Tasting Table and want to buy some of the wines I tasted there. Can I do that?
Sure! Drop us an email and we’d be happy to put together an order for you based on what we sell at The Tasting Table.
I visited a small producer in Hungary and fell in love with some specific wines! Can I buy them from you?
We can try! If you like a wine or a certain producer, let us know and we can try to get the wines for you!
I am planning an event and would like to make a large order of wine. Do you offer discounts?
Of course! For larger purchases please contact us and we’d be happy to give you a customized offer.
Can I re-order wines I liked?
If you love a wine that was included with your club selection, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll let you know if we have some available (or if we can get more).
Can I buy the wine as a gift for someone?
Yes! You can purchase a club membership and we’ll send it to your recipient. During the checkout process simply make a note that this is a gift in the “delivery notes and instructions” field, and let us know if there is a special message you’d like us to include on a personalized note in the box. Your recipient will receive the first shipment at the time of the next automated club shipment following their enrollment.
Returns, Cancellations, and Faulty Bottles
What if one of my bottles is corked or faulty?
If you think you have a defective bottle of wine, please drop us an email and we’ll look into it. Though we aim to provide top quality products, sometimes faults happen.
What if my wine arrives damaged or broken?
In the rare case that your package is damaged, please let us know within three days of delivery so we can make arrangements to send you replacements. Please also notify the shipping compony upon delivery.
What if the shipment is lost or damaged?
Lost shipments are rare, as all packages have tracking numbers. However, please email us as soon as possible if you have a problem so we can get to the bottom of things! Once you receive the package, it is important to check that there is no damage (no broken or leaking bottles) to the products, and that you have the correct items before signing the delivery acceptance form. If something is not right with the order (and the products are not in perfect condition), please do not accept the package and the shipper will return it!
Traveling to Hungary
If I am planning a trip to Hungary, can the wineries be visited?
Definitely, but you should make appointments in advance! Feel free to check out the wine and food tours which our partner company, Taste Hungary, organizes and are led by wine-specialized guides.
