Homola Legere Syrah, 2018

As the name suggests, this is a light, yet spicy Syrah meant for unwinding and long evening chats. All grapes were sourced from the Hajnóczy vineyard, which brings plenty of acid and earthiness to the wine, owing to its calcareous soil (loess, marl, limestone). Despite the pale ruby color, this Syrah is full of life. Red berries, peppercorn, and violet make for a perfumed and enticing nose. The palate is filled with tart notes of cranberries, red currants, and even some juicy blueberry on the finish. It’s the perfect red wine for summer.
