Grapes for this wine (a Cabernet Franc and Kékfrankos blend) come from an old mixed vineyard in Villány. The grapes are harvested and vinified together “in the old-traditional way,” as winemaker Szabó Ipacs recalls. The name is a play on words that literally means ‘drinking (is) good’, and refers to the fact that this is an easy (good) drinking wine. There are black fruits and spices on the palate and in the aromas. Cabernet Franc adds richness to the wine, and Kékfrankos lightens it, gives balance, and makes it spicy and juicy. Szabó Ipacs is well-known as the head winemaker of the Vylyan Winery. This wine is his personal wine project. As the name suggests, this wine is good to drink!
