Description
The grapes in this wine come from four different vineyards: the Király, Betsek, Zafír, and Pécsi. The Grand Cru vineyards of Betsek and Király bring an intense minerality to the wine, thanks to their rocky-volcanic soils. The Zafir brings elegance and balance, and the old-bush vines of the Pécsi (which were planted in the 1920s) bring complexity and age-worthiness. The wines are made and aged separately in 225-liter used Hungarian oak barrels for six months before being blended together. This wine is a medium-yellow color with highlights of silver. On the nose, it is fresh, still very young, crisp, and elegant. It has flavors of white peaches, pears, juicy apples, and lots and lots of white flowers. This is, truly, a floral wine, with acacia, orange blossom, linden, and more! It is soft and, everything is well-integrated.
