While pursuing his WSET (Wine and Spirits Education Trust) Diploma, Bálint Dámosy realized that his real passion lies in spirits. After two years of planning and preparation, he founded Opera Gin, which has become Hungary’s first true gin micro-distillery. Opera Gin makes its London Dry-style gin right in Budapest from pure corn alcohol and natural plants and 11 different spices. Beside the basic gin spices, high-quality Hungarian juniper berries, lavender, and poppy seeds give it a unique local flavor.
