Eszencia is the sweetest wine produced in Tokaj, and probably the world. It is the free-run juice from the hand-picked Aszú (botrytized) berries. No pressing is allowed, it is just the natural weight of the grapes which extracts this nectar. After a long fermentation—more than two years—this wine has only reached 2.5 percent alcohol. It is a true rarity, and a luxury.
