Description
This award-winning Chardonnay from the Gál Winery does not come from the Kunság region, like the rest of Gál’s wines do. The family bought this small plot of land next to Lake Balaton—near the small town of Lesencefalu on the north-western side of the lake—with plans to make great chardonnay. After the 2017 vintage, this wine made it into the top ten wines in the Chardonnay du Monde contest. In 2018 it won two silver medals in the same contest. This is quite an elegant, oaky Chardonnay, with fresh and balanced aromas of pineapple, quince, and vanilla. On the palate it is fresh, with a medium body and a creamy finish.
